Yuanding Intelligent, founded in 2015, specializes in the outdoor intelligent cleaning industry and is a pioneer in the category of wireless intelligent swimming pool robots. In recent years, it has rapidly expanded through multiple rounds of financing.
Founder of Yuanding Intelligence, Wang Yang, previously worked at Global Sources and started his own business in 2015. He named the company “Yuanding Intelligence” based on the dome mountain in his hometown and chose the scenario of courtyard intelligence. He hopes to provide users with convenient and worry free courtyard management solutions through AI technology and IoT technology.
In the early stages of entrepreneurship, several product lines of Yuanding Intelligent were launched simultaneously, but there was no significant improvement. In 2019, Wang Yang found through research that the penetration rate of pool cleaning robots was less than 17%, and most of them were traditional pool robots. Therefore, he decided to shift the company’s strategic direction, cut off other product lines, and concentrate all resources on developing pool robot products.
At present, Yuanding Intelligent Aiper ranks among the top three in the global pool robot market share, with a market share of over 35% on platforms such as Amazon, and has been ranked first in the wireless pool robot category for three consecutive years. From 2020 to 2024, Yuanding Intelligent’s revenue grew nearly tenfold, with a compound annual growth rate of over 70%. In 2024, the global cumulative shipment volume exceeded 2 million units.
