Firstly, in terms of appearance, the new car has made adjustments to the front grille style, replacing it with a straight waterfall grille and introducing three styles to choose from. The vehicle will also be available in circular and square headlight versions, which can meet the aesthetic pursuits of different consumers. The side and rear styles of the vehicle have not changed much, still maintaining a tough and domineering appearance, with a strong off-road vehicle vibe.
The Raptors PHEV features a retro style as its core, with straight and rigid body lines. The newly added Storm Yellow and Ink Jiangnan Grey Car Paint, the former is lively and bold, while the latter is introverted and high-end, meeting different aesthetic needs. The front face features a horizontal hollow grille paired with circular LED headlights, complemented by a bumper decorated with rivets, creating a strong off-road atmosphere. The body side lines are simple, equipped with 18 inch wheels, smoked black wheel arches, and aluminum alloy luggage racks, enhancing the off-road temperament of the vehicle. The rear of the car features an external spare tire and vertical taillights that complement the front face, while the side opening tailgate design balances practicality and ceremony. It is worth mentioning that the front grille supports quick disassembly modification, and users can create personalized styles through blackening kits, side ladders, and other accessories, further enhancing its tough attributes.
The interior of the Haval Raptors PHEV adopts the design concept of “minimalism+technology”, with a large area of soft wrapping in the center console and metal decorative strips. The thick armrest in front of the passenger seat and the electronic gear lever of the same type as the tank enhance the off-road atmosphere. The leather wrapped steering wheel supports multifunctional control and can also be adjusted in four directions: up, down, front, and back. The 14.6-inch central control screen and 12.3-inch instrument panel form a dual screen system, equipped with Coffee OS intelligent car machine, supporting HUAWEI HiCar/Carlink/Carlink mobile phone interconnection, Wi Fi hotspot and voice interaction functions. It also supports OTA upgrade and voice recognition control. The seats are designed ergonomically, with electrically adjustable driver’s seat, heated headrest, and lumbar function. The backrest angle of the rear seats can be adjusted in two levels to meet the sitting needs of passengers with different body shapes.
The body size of the Haval Raptors PHEV is 4800x1916x1822mm, with a wheelbase of 2738mm. The body size is not significantly different from the rear Jetour Freedom, so it also has spacious interior seating space, surpassing the body length and wheelbase of its peers, providing passengers with more spacious horizontal and vertical space inside the car. The legroom in the rear seats is more than two fists, and the regular capacity of the trunk is 586L. When the rear seats are folded down in a 4/6 ratio, a nearly flat space can be formed. The trunk capacity can be expanded to 1404L, meeting the needs of family travel. The passability parameters are equally impressive: approach angle of 25 °, departure angle of 32 °, longitudinal passability angle of 20.1 °, minimum ground clearance of 221mm without load, wading depth of 560mm, with five driving modes that can easily handle mild off-road conditions.
